''All my mates are doing very well with good paying jobs,some are even married with kids but here i am wallowing in poverty and no way foward''. This is what goes on in the mind of some people who may feel their condition or present predicament is the worst. They also forget that some of their mates are dead,hospitalized or without food to even eat.

What if you were dead,did you also imagine that you could also have been in their shoes or if you were hospitalized and you can't even help yourself. No,you didn't think about that i guess. You are alive and you can always reach your desired height.   

Do you know that some toil day and night,doing all kinds of job and yet their money is not even enough for them not to talk of the family the also cater for,even some married ones are better single because you really don't know how hard it is for them unless you hear their stories.

Next time before you go causing yourself and why God has left you to suffer,remember you are better than some people,you also enjoy benefits which the don't get to enjoy yet they choose to live happily and not let their problems become their frustration...

 Before you start wishing to be like that rich friend of yours,think of how the started, its never easy at the start for anyone. Also think of what some of them had to engage themselves into just to get to where they are,some do not have peace of mind or might not be totally as happy as you think.

 Remember the mind is like a bag and you never know what is in the others own unless they pour it out to you.
 Just know that some people have little but are living in peace,things would get better. Keep the hustle going and believe your own time would come, i know you might think yourself useless but know this once there is life then there is hope.do not kill yourself for what you don't have now.

They might begin to act like as if they were drunk or high on any substance,their countenance changes and they begin to live like different people who are too big to listen to anyone.The become lords and often times take nicknames that show their authority over everyone.

Try and put that person who acts humble and loyal to just a tiny test and see him fail woefully. Power really gets into some people's head so much that they don't even recognize if any other person was existing,they would want to be lord over everyone's life. Many people have shown an example of how power intoxicates in past times and in our everyday life.

Keep a child and tell him to look after his younger ones and give him the power to correct any of them that goes wrong,before you come back na mortar combat fights you go see for your hose.Lol
 
The only thing on the minds of these kind of people is how to get even with anyone who questions their authority,mind you before they got to that position they were everybody's friend,always smiling at everyone who cared to smile back,they were even so generous with their things and didn't mind if anyone stepped on their toes.
This people are seen every where from big positions in the society to positions as small as School Prefects, Course Reps, CLO's, Women and Men meeting presidents,Team head.
Being the eldest child of the house also gets into some heads where they try to manipulate or bend their younger ones to their own terms,ever wondered why some siblings who used to be really close fell out with each other?
For the positions where they would be elected into, they most times would never react to any silly thing people did until when they finally got hold of that position then those who opposed them becomes their first example of a 'scape goat'.

As long as a person has that thirst to always be in charge which a lot of humans posses,at any little opportunity they are given will not fail to show their prowess and lordship over all, some even make laws and ask others to abide by it. For instance,you will give them mantel of leadership for some days or weeks,before you come back they have rearranged everywhere when they are aware the position is not even a permanent one. Some will even fight you when you come back for your seat because they have so clinged to power that leaving it seemed difficult.Truly power intoxicates when it gets to the head.

Surely if ladies would have spiritual lenses to have a peak into what goes on in the lives of these baby mama and daddies,love would not be excuse for our ignorance.

Its actually your business if you decide to have a child outside wedlock,that is a different ball game but this trend of baby daddy is getting out of hand, where a man especially celebrities have children from more than one woman. The problem is not the man but you the woman who maybe wishes to be associated with a celebrity.

Even if you wish for the association,it shouldn't be the case of subjecting yourself to just making babies for him or because you feel that would trap him into marrying you when he explained that he needed to focus on his carrer and marriage wasn't part of it.

Have you asked yourself if those women that these men marry have two heads? Surely the have just one head with pretty features like you too,why then have you subjected yourself to only popping out babies and enlarging his empire. He does this with two different women and yet you had the mind to have the fourth or third child for him..

In all honesty,some women create the mess and dramas they are in. This is for those with ears!


If a woman decides to have a child and take care of that child not because she wanted all those baby mama drama,that is a different case but thinking that having a child with him can make him stay and marry you is surely going to be a failed fight. Ever wondered how cancer survivors make it  through,i read a story about one that really touched my heart and got me thinking . What about people whom we thought after seeing their conditions would never leave the hospital ward or one problem or the other alive,have you ever thought of the driving force in you that makes you determined to live against all odds. When you decide to make the most out of life no matter how hard it might seem but you live through it all..

 You are not carrying all the problems of the world though today maybe be tough but joy comes in the morning. Change your routine today and include the three L's : Love like never before, Laugh like you send nobody and choose to Live happy despite how hard it might seem.

DON'T TELL ME WHO YOUR FATHER IS,TELL ME WHO YOU ARE

It was a Saturday evening,i was walking back to my aunt's house from a shop where i went to get some fruits for my dinner. He walked up to me and asked for a minute of my time,i am not the type who shun people i'd rather listen to know whatever the person has to say so i stopped.

 He introduced himself and asked that we exchanged numbers,he also talked about how he knew my aunt and her children very well and that they were all from the same place. Because i felt it was harmless to exchange numbers and since i had no friend around, i gave him my number.

 I got into the house and thankfully i met my cousin,then i asked about this guy i met,my cousin said he was cool and i could hang out some time with him if i wished and since i was always bored and i agreed.

 Something about this guy wasn't right to me even after my cousin had cleared me on that but then he proved my intuitions right when he called me after some days saying he had been busy and bla bla and bla. He tried to convince me why i should be his friend which the reasons included how his brother is a senator of the federal republic. That particular statement  blew his chances,how could he think i would be tripped by his elder brother or father's achievement.

 I kept wondering until i realized that many a time,most young men think they can woo and get a girl by mere mention of their father's numerous achievements,'Oga some women are tripped by your own achievements not that of your family member'  These kind of men make it seem like they are nothing without these popular or rich family member of theirs. The only thing i asked this guy that made him stop pestering me was when i asked what he has been able to do for himself since he had a rich brother and surprisingly nothing..

  

 This also applies to women too..Let that your father,mother,brother,sister be a role model you look up to not a name to get your way with. I am only interested in Who you are not who your father is. If i wanted that your father or brother then that's a different case,stop spoiling ya show with ya hand..LOL

 Your father is a president,who are you? Your brother is a rich man,where is your own?

TALES OF THE AFRICAN CHILD SERIES 2 : CHILD PROSTITUTION IN DISGUISE

I just remembered a story that a cousin of mine told me about some girl about 14 years whose parents were preparing her to follow a relation whom they knew well that she takes children and young women to prostitute and make her money,i was shocked because i thought this form of slavery and child trafficking was carried out because the parents are unaware of what their kids were made to do but i was wrong.. This is how it works, she meets a parent and convinces them of how useful or lucrative sending their child abroad would be. She tells them she has a restaurant where their children can work and make money in order to send home to them, the woman sometimes pays this parents some amount of money which her victim would have to recover back to her on arrival to the designated country. In most cases, this young women whom are always taken more than their male counter part because they convince their people to believe that the females would make more money and since it was a restaurant or beauty parlour their services would be needed more than that of their male counter parts are used to traffic drugs to their 'madam's' client in the country. If this women who make their money through this means discovers the girl was good in her first trip, she most times keep her as her drug trafficking agent but in most cases the reason they are taken abroad is to be used as commercial sex workers.. Their madam tells them to make sure they recover all the money spent on them,the visa fees,their international passport,their accommodation till they can stay on their own and the money which was paid to their parents. Most of the victims were told that they were going abroad to complete their education while some of them went with their eyes open knowing exactly what they were going for. Some had to go because their parents had told them they had to help in raising their younger ones,some have become rich through this while some had fallen into dangers of all sort which they never survived... There is another case where the woman tells parents she wants to help train their child,this person might be a complete stranger according to the one i heard and have seen happen. Only for her to take the children and sell them to women who needed hawkers for their fruit or sachet water business whereas he deceived the parents to believe their children are in school and doing well... When ever she visits the parents,she gives them money which is proceeds from the sales their children make so in the end she'd tell them they were enjoying their child's hard work just in case they decided to make any trouble with her and this type of women in most cases have mouths that speak for them and connections which this poor parents can't contend with... In most cases,the children are threatened not to let anyone in their new environment know how they were conned into prostitution and they have to work a long time just to pay their madam off who would constantly be on their neck,to sustain themselves and their family who think once they are abroad it automatically guarantees them wealthy.. That harmless 'good evening ma' to that madam turned to this sore tale...

BESTIE OR BEDMATES?

They were always seen together and every one thought they had something good going on.. Even if you were told you wouldn't believe they weren't seriously dating,the bond was just too much that their various partners were jealous they had been left lonely. They also traveled together but in no time, it went beyond the friendship and they got carried away in their own desires.. In no time something that started off as harmless went beyond the ordinary. The Importance Of Knowing Your Genotype And Your Blood Group Before Marriage: Genotype is the genetic makeup of an individual with reference to a trait or multiple traits. They are the collection of genes passed from parents to the children. Some children born of the same parent will have different genotype. Exceptions are seen in cases of twins or multiple births that are fertilized from the same egg. Human beings have two alleles with each pair inherited from each parent. An allele represents a gene. Before the advent of modern medicine, there was high mortality and infant death rates. All these children lost to the cold hands of death were referred to as "abikus". All these happened because there was no knowledge on blood group or genotype. People that get married irrespective of their genetic makeup should not be blamed for their ignorance. But with the advent of modern medicine( read about modern medicine and its advantages in Nigeria ), biological explanations are now being made on the causes of infant death rate, this led to the discovery of sickle cells in Africa, especially in Nigeria. Before marriage, partners should be aware of their genotypes and blood group as the society no long provides excuse for this ignorance (read an interesting article named no excuse for ignorance here). Parents should check the genotype of their children during pregnancy or immediately after birth. This will help to know the health status of the child and what they have to do to sustain and maintain the child's health. There are four genotypes in humans - AA, AS, SS and AC. AC genotype is not so common and popular unlike the other three. SS and AC are the abnormal genotypes or the sickle cells. The knowledge of genotype is important when choosing life partners. Intending couples should know both their own genotype as well as their partner's genotype at the early stage of their relationship before they are well rooted in love and emotions. Emotions and time spent in the relationship can cloud people’s judgment or decision to break up if they are not compatible, thus, giving birth to sickle cell children and subjecting themselves and their children to pain, torture and agony. Possible Outcomes of Different Genetic Combination AA + AA = AA, AA, AA, AA AA + AS = AA, AS, AA, AS AA + SS = AS, AS, AS, AS AA + AC = AA, AA, AA, AC AS + AS = AA, AS, AS, SS AS + SS = AS, SS, SS, SS AS + AC = AA, AC, AS,SS SS + SS = SS, SS, SS, SS AC + SS = AS, AS, SS, SS AC + AC = AA, AC, AC, SS People with the genotype AA are prone to malaria sickness at their early ages. Sickle cell arises when there is any blockage in the blood vessels which inhibits the flow of oxygen. When the red blood cell do not have the required oxygen, there will be changes in its original shape (disc shape) to a "Sickle-like" or "crescent-like shape", Thus, the name "sickle cell". Sickle cell patients experience severe pains in body parts that lack oxygen flow. Their bone marrows will fail to produce red blood cells and this result to anemia. To save this crisis, blood is usually transfused to them. In terms of compatibility, someone with AA genotype can marry anybody. It is safe for someone with AS to marry someone with AA genotype. The combinations of AS and AS, AS and AC should not be risked. There is probability of having a SS. Although. Two sickle cells should not even have a relationship or get married. Individuals with the AA genotype should help you prevent genetic abnormalities by marrying the AS, AC and SS. By this, we are hopeful to eradicate sickle cells in the world. Blood Groups / Blood Types The red blood cells that transport oxygen in the body carry two antigens, which are the A and B antigens. These antigens determine the blood group. Blood groups are represented with A, AB, O, and B. When the red blood cell carries only the A antigen, the blood group is 'A', it is 'B' when the blood cell has only the B antigen. When both A and B antigens are present, the blood group is 'AB'. Finally, when there is neither A nor B antigen, the blood group is referred to as ’O’. Below is the cross breed of different blood groups and the products (offsprings) A + A = A or O B + B = B or O A + B = A, B, AB or O A + O = A or O B + O = B or O A + AB = A, B or AB O + O = O only The genotype of blood type A is AA or AO. The antigens on the blood cell are A and antibodies on the blood plasma are B. For blood type B, the genotype is BB or BO with A as the antigens and B as antibodies. The blood type AB has the genotype to be AB. The antigens are both A & B, and no antibodies on the blood plasma. The blood type O has the genotype to be OO. There are no antigens but has antibodies to be A or B. Rhesus factor or the 'D' antigen is also found on the surface of the red blood cell. Those with it are seen to be "rhesus positive or Rh+" and those without are "rhesus negative or Rh-". There is a possibility of having both Rh + and Rh -. A person who is Rh + will produce antibodies against Rh - blood cells. A patient with Rh +can receive blood from someone who is Rh + or Rh -. But an Rh - can only receive blood from Rh -. Knowing your blood type helps during pregnancy. If the mother is Rh- and the father is Rh +, the fetus can either inherit the Rhesus gene from either the father or mother. Complications (Rh incompatibility) occur when the Rhesus factor of the fetus contradicts that of the mother. This is common when a pregnant woman has Rh - and the fetus has Rh+. If the blood of the Rh + baby mixes with the mother’s, it can lead to the production of antibodies against the baby’s blood known as Rh-sensitization. To curb this disease, pregnant women should always meet regularly with obstetricians and human anti-D immune globulin or immunoglobulin should be administered to those with the complications. General Note *O are universal donors (donate blood to all blood types). *AB+ are universal recipients (receive from all blood types). *A+ can receive blood from A+, A-, O+ & O- * A- from A- & O- *B+ from B+, B-, O+ & O- *B- from B- & O- *AB- from A-, B-, AB- & O- * O+ from O+ & O- *O- from O- In Conclusion Knowing one's blood group helps a lot. It determines the donor and recipient of blood transfusion, and also helps in determining paternity. A person with one blood type or group can produce antibodies against the other. For instance, a person with blood type A makes antibodies against blood type B. If this person is given blood of type B, his or her type antibodies will bind to the antigens on the type B blood cells cause the blood to clump together. Compatibility of blood type is necessary before transfusing blood in times of accidents and emergencies.(culled from information parlour) Sickle cell anemia: according to research this was the first genetic disease to be characterized at the molecular level. Sickle cell anemia also known as sickle cell disease which is caused by a point mutation in the globin gene,the sickled cell tend to get stuck in narrow blood vessels blocking the flow of blood. As a result those with the disease suffer painful crises in their joints and bones,the must often be hospitalized for blood transfusions and majority die before the age of 20 although with modern medicine some live into their 50's. TALES OF THE AFRICAN CHILD SERIES- FEMALE CIRCUMCISION

Hello Fam,this is going to be a long but educative post and you won't regret reading.. FGM can be defined as the practice of partially removing the external genitalia of girls and young women for non-medical reasons which commonly leads to infections,infertility and may even cause death. This is mostly carried out between infancy to age 15. There are four different procedures or types of female circumcision. Female genital mutilation (FGM), also known as female genital cutting and female circumcision, is the ritual removal of some or all of the external female genitalia. Typically carried out by a traditional circumciser using a blade or razor (with or without anaesthesia), FGM is concentrated in 27 African countries, Yemen and Iraqi Kurdistan, and found elsewhere in Asia, the Middle East, and among diaspora communities around the world. The age at which it is conducted varies from days after birth to puberty; in half the countries for which national figures are available, most girls are cut before the age of five. The procedures differ according to the ethnic group. They include removal of the clitoral hood and clitoral glans (the visible part of the clitoris), removal of the inner labia and, in the most severe form (known as infibulation), removal of the inner and outer labia and closure of the vulva. In this last procedure, a small hole is left for the passage of urine and menstrual fluid, and the vagina is opened for intercourse and opened further for childbirth. Health effects depend on the procedure, but can include recurrent infections, chronic pain, cysts, an inability to get pregnant, complications during childbirth and fatal bleeding. There are no known health benefits for female circumcision. The practice is rooted in gender inequality, attempts to control women's sexuality, and ideas about purity, modesty and aesthetics. It is usually initiated and carried out by women, who see it as a source of honour, and who fear that failing to have their daughters and granddaughters cut will expose the girls to promiscuity. In some communities,mutilation is carried out as part of initiation into adulthood. in such areas a girl cannot be considered an adult unless she had undergone FGM. The also believe it helps to reduce the woman's sexual desire and lessen temptation or becoming promiscuous. Contrary to these believes,it doesn't guarantee a woman to remain chaste but FGM gone wrong can cause the following: Immediate consequences of FGM include severe pain and bleeding, shock, difficulty in passing urine, infections, injury to nearby genital tissue and sometimes death. The procedure can result in death through severe bleeding leading to haemorrhagic shock, neurogenic shock as a result of pain and trauma. Almost all women who have undergone FGM experience pain and bleeding as a consequence of the procedure. The event itself is traumatic as girls are held down during the procedure. Risk and complications increase with the type of FGM and are more severe and prevalent with infibulations. “The pain inflicted by FGM does not stop with the initial procedure, but often continues as ongoing torture throughout a woman’s life”, says Manfred Nowak, UN Special Rapporteur on Torture. In addition to the severe pain during and in the weeks following the cutting, women who have undergone FGM experience various long-term effects - physical, sexual and psychological. Women may experience chronic pain, chronic pelvic infections, development of cysts, abscesses and genital ulcers, excessive scar tissue formation, infection of the reproductive system, decreased sexual enjoyment and psychological consequences, such as post-traumatic stress disorder. Additional risks for complications from infibulations include urinary and menstrual problems, infertility, later surgery (defibulation and reinfibulation) and painful sexual intercourse. Sexual intercourse can only take place after opening the infibulation, through surgery or penetrative sexual intercourse. Consequently, sexual intercourse is frequently painful during the first weeks after sexual initiation and the male partner can also experience pain and complications. When giving birth, the scar tissue might tear, or the opening needs to be cut to allow the baby to come out. After childbirth, women from some ethnic communities are often sown up again to make them “tight” for their husband (reinfibulation). Such cutting and restitching of a woman’s genitalia results in painful scar tissue. A multi-country study by WHO in six African countries, showed that women who had undergone FGM, had significantly increased risks for adverse events during childbirth, and that genital mutilation in mothers has negative effects on their newborn babies. According to the study, an additional one to two babies per 100 deliveries die as a result of FGM. FGM has been outlawed or restricted in most of the countries in which it occurs, but the laws are poorly enforced. There have been international efforts since the 1970s to persuade practitioners to abandon it, and in 2012 the United Nations General Assembly, recognizing FGM as a human-rights violation, voted unanimously to intensify those efforts,, SAY STOP TO FGM TODAY AND SAVE THESE YOUNG GIRLS AND WOMEN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL TRAUMAS..STAY FAB

CHILD ABUSE.MAN MOLESTS DAUGHTER AND GIVES HER MONEY

A 7 year old girl (name withheld) has narrated how her father Chukwuemeka Odunzie, pictured above molested her by touching her body and putting his manhood in her mouth and afterwards gives her money so she wouldn't tell anyone. According to Vanguard, the young girl who is a primary 3 student and resides with her parents at their Ojokoro Housing Estate, Meiran, Ijaiye, Lagos, said her dad usually touched her private part whenever her mother wasn't around or was busy with domestic work "My daddy usually gives me money after touching my private part or putting his penis in my mouth. He touches my private part when my mother is outside washing clothes or when she is not in the house.” she said The victim’s mother, Mrs Odunzie, while narrating her experience said she began to notice something was not right with her daughter who later confessed that her father was molesting her. “Last year, my son told me that his younger sister was fond of playing with her private parts. It sounded strange that a seven-year-old child would be doing that. I will talk to her, scold her and sometimes beat her. There was a time I told my husband. All he said was that if she was acting strangely I should take her to any of these white garment churches. I was alarmed when one day, while we were in the sitting room, she started touching and playing with herself. Immediately, I called her inside the room and asked her what the problem was. I asked her if anyone was fiddling with her private parts. She said it was her father that always touched her private parts and that after touching her private parts, he would give her money. I confronted my husband when he returned from work but he denied vehemently. I reported a case of defilement to Ebenezer Divisional Police and the policemen invited my husband for questioning. He was arrested later by the police, who gave me a report to take my daughter to the hospital. The doctor said there had been no penetration, but that there is an opening in her virginal and advised that the victim be tested for infection. By the time we came back from the hospital, the IPO said it was a family issue and that we should go home and settle the case. Members of his family were shouting, saying that I had no right to report the case to the police, that it was a family issue that should be treated as one. They pressurized me till I withdrew the case, after which he promised not to defile our daughter again. After I withdrew the case, my husband began to beat the children at the slightest provocation. And at times, he would beat them for no tangible reason. Two weeks ago, it happened again. I asked her what she did for her father that made him give her money without giving her siblings. That was when she said that daddy gave her the money after touching her private part. Her siblings said it had been ongoing for a while and that they refused to tell me because the last time they did, their daddy kept beating them. Her brother said whenever I was not around, or I was outside washing clothes, daddy would send him and his other siblings inside the bedroom, while he would ask the victim to kneel down in between his legs and bend her head towards his manhood. She also confirmed that after touching her, daddy would put his penis in her mouth. There was even a time my daughter was caught in the act with a four-year-old boy, who is a neighbour’s child.”she said The swine of a father who confessed to the crime, said he molested his own daughter once and that he wasn't doing it for any thing fetish or occultic. He has since been handed over to the police.

WORLD SHORTEST MAN DIES AT 75

The world's shortest man Chandra Dangi from Nepal has died. He died from pneumonia in a US hospital yesterday September 4th. He was 75. He had been sick in his home which he was treating but had traveled to the US for work where he was rushed to the hospital after his symptoms worsened Dangi was just 21.5ins, and was declared the shortest human adult ever documented in history. ‘Today, our circus is flooded with tears at the loss of the world’s smallest man...whom we lovingly called Prince Chandra.’

On monday,a 37 year old bar operator who was identified as Lucky Esonahae was arraingned on the charge of setting his 7 month old pregnant lover on fire. the incident took place at Uwelu Quartres in Benin, and was reported by the victim, Stella Isaac, on July 6, the same day it occurred. Yahya said Esonahae poured kerosene on Stella, who was said to be 7 months pregnant, lit a match and set her on fire. He said that the victim was later rescued by one of her sons and her neighbours, who forced the door of her room open, as she had been locked in. He said the victim, who was later rushed to the Central Hospital, where she received treatment sustained burns on her hands and forehead. The accused had taken the action following his suspicions that his lover was cheating. The accused pleaded guilty to the charge and pleaded leniency, the magistrate presiding the court Igho Braimoh sentenced him to five years in prison with hard labour.
