LETTER TO MY UNBORN DAUGHTER
As i was going out today,i meet a very cute girl who is about five with her mother. She was just too cute and smart to be ignored then my mind wandered off and thought about the day, the day that i would hold her so close to my bosom and kiss your fore head and when i would come for plenty 'Omugwo' in your house..LOL that prompted this letter..
Dear unborn daughter,
I am eagerly waiting for the day you would come into this world, i am preparing and paving the way so you would not struggle or lack anything. I want you to have the best child and adulthood ever but my pampering you wont mean you will spoil and not be able to do anything for yourself.
You will learn that some people have little yet they are happy, you will learn how to give and share with those who have little or non,i will teach you how to be content with what you have no matter how little i provide you with.
You would be an independent woman just as your grandma has taught me,i will also teach you. You will learn that there is more to love and marriage than you might learn from friends and the world, there are so many things about men you will learn from your father, that is why am not going to rush and marry just any man.
My daughter, you will also learn that your beauty is not all you will have to offer because of course you would be beautiful like your mother and men would surely be after you but understand this my child 'do not let them deceive you into bed with their deceptive words' so many of them are very crafty but your mother is here to guide you so you do not make any mistakes. I am just imagining how i would smile when you bring that young man as your husband home to meet i and father and the way i would dance on your wedding day,by then the reigning 'shoki dance' would have been outdated..lol
You will also learn that some friends would betray you no matter how good you are to them and you should not expect so much from people. You will also learn how a woman should be treated not the standard the world have kept.you will be different and will grow into a strong woman. Every one who will come across you would bless the womb that bore you because you will stand out. Never look down on yourself on any occasion, some days are not going to be rosy so you will use your difficult times to build yourself the more. You will be free to choose any career you wish for and we would support you all through.
My child i have a lot to tell and teach you and your brothers, this is just a bit of it and you will never regret having a mother like me, i will discipline and still pamper you. You will be different from your peers,i hope to give you the best and quality education at the time. Your mother is actually ready but she want you and your brothers to have a father who would be your best friend and who will not neglect his responsibilities. I want nothing but the best for you,be patient.
Your Mother who through the grace of God
will raise you to be the envy of others.
