At wedding ceremonies, there is a section where the couple have to repeat after the priest to take their
solemn vows, that part gets sweet and next ''you may kiss the bride'' and all other church formalities after which pictures would be taken then you see those relations who always have to tell you ''oh how you once pooed on their clothes'' begin to say things like ''you are now a big boy/girl and i hope its your wedding we would come to next?Which brings me to these, its almost festive season and a lot of weddings will be taken place and also a lot of young women will be on the look out for potential husbands, some make choices of the weddings they'd attend. If its not to a politicians son or daughter or at least a well known name in the country or if the wedding would not be graced by dignitaries even if it had to be local government chairmen, they would not waste 'their precious time' to attend, everyone wants the good life na.
In a society where been single at a certain point is seen as worse than death itself, every young girl is on the race for the title of ''Mrs''. According to someone, the title gets you the respect you never have gotten so the race is so fierce.
Its a battle where they have to show case whose husband has more money or is finer, some even go to wedding to compare their imaginary husbands that they haven't gotten to the ones standing on the alter.
This is why some women just go into a marriage and mess the man' life up because their only intention was to meet up with friends and standards and not because they actually had an iota of love for the intended husband.
The race for this title has also left so many woman bitter from abuse when they had to marry the next man who showed them the ring without thinking twice if they could even survive a day together.
Its all for the race, the battle of who wins, its so fierce that some might get burnt. Just search in their hearts you would discover that it is all for the title,it is like an award of excellence and or a gold cup.it had to be conquered and those relations and friends has to see them also making their marks.
